Penzance Lit Fest: talking about character and landscape

Earlier this month, I was lucky enough to take part in a Penzance Lit Fest panel at The Exchange in Penzance.

Along with editor and contributor Gareth Rees, contributor Jane Pugh and publisher Paul Taylor-McCartney, I discussed how Cornwall’s protected landscape inspired my story in ‘Twelve Stories for Twelve Sections (Hermitage, March 2024).

Here I am, reading my story and answering a question about why I seem obsessed with turning landscape into character in my writing (it’s true, I am).

For more of me gesticulating, and the others reading and talking too, you can watch edited highlights on the panel on Hermitage Press’ website.

More festival dates and readings from the collection are planned for the autumn. Watch this space.
